Joe stumbles, zombie-like, across the dark room littered with balled up paper and discarded cereal bowls. Joe throws open the curtain and winces against the bright light.
Joe returns to his desk and checks his phone. 1000 missed calls. He turns it off. He watches with quiet pride as the script piles up on the printer out-tray. It felt like he'd never get here. But what now? Who will read it? Who would want to?
Joe watches the final page print then picks up the script and drops it straight in the trash. He'll try again next week. Or the week after. It'll be better then.
